Emile has been working for more than thirty years at the interface of academia and industry. He is an influential scientist who (co-)authored twenty books and more than two hundred scientific papers. His most influential work is on search paradigms in artificial intelligence and experience design in ambient intelligence. He has a long-lasting experience in academic teaching and lecturing with outstanding student and peer qualifications. His educational experience related to all levels of academic teaching ranging from bachelor to post master executive level. He is an opinioned, solution oriented research manager and a true believer in strength of inspirational leadership motivating teams to explore new insights, perspectives, and venues as a team effort. He constantly looks for new opportunities to improve and innovate society in the large and the operational excellence of the organizations he works with in particular. He has received wide recognition as a creative thinker both by academic peers and colleagues in the field of leadership.
